Some believe that Sean “P Diddy” Combs’ spiritual back tattoo could be the source of his karmic retribution.
Inked on Diddy’s back is a large mural of Ezili Dantor. Ezili is a Haitian spirit that is a central character in Haitian voodoo, often associated with motherhood, protection, and womanhood, according to The Tab. Additionally, she’s painted to be a strong protector of marginalized groups, specifically women and LGBTQ+ individuals in Haitian culture. Ezili is known to “destroy” anyone who hurts women since her core mission is to be a “selfless mother” who will “turn the world upside down for those she loves,” according to the news outlet.
If angered, Ezili will punish those by sending a natural disaster. She also can cause those who crossed her to start throwing up blood, which individuals who worship her believe.
Diddy has had Ezili marked on his back since 2017, and has seemingly put a mark on his head, put there by the mother spirit herself. At least that’s what Enzili worshippers think since Diddy has been accused of sexually and physically abusing many women, a demographic that Enzili is said to fiercely protect and defend.
In September 2024, Diddy was arrested and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. After he was jailed at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York, he was hit with a slew of sexual abuse lawsuits from women and men.
Despite being kept in jail without bail, as he was turned down to be released on bail thrice, has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. He’s also vehemently denied all of the allegations against him. As Diddy’s sex trafficking and racketeering case continues, the Mirror US reported that a federal judge has denied the rapper’s request for a gag order to be implemented in his case.
Had the judge granted the gag order it would have prevented potential witnesses and their attorneys from speaking publicly about the allegations against the music mogul. So far, Diddy has been hit with over 100 more sexual abuse allegations since his arrest. Diddy’s trial is scheduled to be held sometime in 2025.
