Kate Cassidy said that she dreamed of her romance with Liam Payne since she was a kid
Kate Cassidy said she “manifested” her relationship with Liam Payne, admitting she had been “dreaming” of a man like him since she was 10 years old.
As the world continues to grieve the loss of the former One Direction star, fans have unearth a heartbreaking clip of Kate confessing Liam was the man of her dreams. The 31-year-old musician tragically died on Oct. 16 after falling from a third-floor balcony of the Casa Sur Palmero hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Kate accompanied Liam on his trip overseas but abruptly flew back to Florida two days before his passing.
As Kate grapples with the loss of her long-time boyfriend, fans have resurfaced an old TikTok in which she explains how she manifested him into her life. In the clip, Kate said: “I am the best manifester, and I’m going to show you why.” She then goes on to hold up a popsicle stick with a drawing of a brown-haired man in a white shirt and jeans labelled “Liam.” She then claimed: “I drew this when I was 10 years old.”
Many years later, Kate and Liam found one another and shared a public romance for two years before his young death. The pair first met each other in Oct. 2022 when she waited for him at a bar called Ritual in Charleston, S.C.. In another video, Kate admitted she was doing everything she could to get that weekend off, but her managers insisted that she stay on her shift.
Speaking on the night they met, Kate shared in another TikTok video: “When I first approached him, I got nervous and stopped and turned around. I guess we made awkward eye contact for a second,” and went on to add: “Every time I came to the table to check up on him, he’d be like sit down! I have family in London and I was like, ‘Oh I’m going to London to see my cousin’ and he was like, ‘I’d love to be your tour guide when you come.’ I was like, OK I’m picking up the sense that you’re flirting with me.”
She continued: “He asked for my number and I didn’t realise you had to put the +1 because I’m from America. I just my area code, the 201 and he tried texting me and it kept going green, not delivered. He thought I’d put the wrong number in as in like, not interested. I was freaking out all night and then he realized I forgot to put the +1 and it went through.”
Despite the phone number mishap, the pair finally went on their first date where they went bowling and on a ghost tour together. They were inseparable ever since then and have publicly shared their sweet romance on social media together. Following Liam’s sudden passing, Kate took to her Instagram and wrote in part: “I don’t even know where to begin. My heart is shattered in ways I can’t put into words. I wish you could see the huge impact you’ve had on the world, even as it feels so dark right now.”
