Diddy’s arrest is currently causing a stir.

The incident began when Cassie Ventura – Diddy’s ex-girlfriend accused him of violence and sexual assault for many years. Cassie Ventura filed a lawsuit in federal court, revealing that Diddy was “prone to uncontrollable rages” and “brutally beat her.” According to the lawsuit, Cassie Ventura said that Diddy drugged her, forced her to have sex with other men, and raped her at his home. As for Diddy, through his own lawyer, the male rapper “vehemently denied” the allegations.

The lawsuit was settled with incredible speed just one day after Cassie Ventura filed. The terms of the settlement were kept confidential. In a statement, Diddy said: “We have decided to resolve this matter amicably. I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Sincerely.”

According to subsequent court filings filed by prosecutors, Diddy made multiple recorded calls to another alleged victim of his abuse, asking her for support and “friendship” and attempting to convince her that “she had voluntarily participated in acts that constituted sexual abuse.”

Another woman went on to accuse Diddy and two other men of forcing her to have sex when she was 17 in 2003. According to the woman, she was given drugs and alcohol at the time, which made her lose her ability to resist. After that, Diddy and the other men took turns having sex with her.
For his part, in a post shortly after on Instagram, Diddy denied all accusations: “I did not do anything bad. I will fight for my name, my family and the truth for myself.”

CNN aired CCTV footage showing Diddy attacking his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016. The video closely resembles an attack described in her lawsuit. The lawsuit says Diddy punched her that night, and she was trying to leave the InterContinental Hotel in Los Angeles before Diddy woke up and chased her. In the footage, Diddy, wearing only a towel, punches, kicks, and throws Ventura to the floor. The lawsuit alleges Diddy paid $50,000 to have the video deleted at the time.

At the request of New York Mayor Eric Adams, Diddy returned the keys to the city. Adams had sent Diddy a letter rescinding the honor as part of the fallout from the leak of a video of the rapper beating up Cassie. The mayor said he was “deeply saddened” by the video. Adams presented the keys to Diddy in a ceremony in 2023.
A day earlier, Howard University announced it had rescinded an honorary degree awarded to Diddy and dissolved a scholarship program named after the rapper.

As part of the appeals process, Diddy asked a federal judge to dismiss the music producer’s February lawsuit. Diddy’s lawyers said the lawsuit was filled with “fabricated stories,” “horrific drama,” “legally meaningless allegations,” and “blatant lies” that were intended only to “generate media hype and exploit it to secure a settlement.”

Diddy is being sued by singer Dawn Richard for psychological and physical abuse, including groping. The singer says she suffered while Diddy was helping her launch her career. Richard, a member of the girl group Danity Kane and best known for appearing on the MTV reality show “Making the Band,” alleges in the lawsuit that she witnessed Diddy abusing Cassie and was afraid of the mogul.
Diddy’s rep accused Richard of “attempting to rewrite history” by fabricating “a series of false statements in the hopes of trying to cash in – just in time for her album release and press tour”.

The indictment against Diddy has been unsealed. The indictment describes the rapper as the leader of a criminal “empire” that engaged in or attempted to engage in sex trafficking, coercion, transportation for the purpose of prostitution, drug crimes, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.
The report said Diddy “engaged in persistent and pervasive abusive behavior toward women and others”, including physical violence, in an effort to “gratify his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his behavior”.

At a press conference on September 18, Mr. Damian Williams – US Attorney for the Southern District of New York shared information related to the case of “boss” Diddy.
Diddy’s homes in Los Angeles and Miami were raided in March 2024. During the raid, authorities found “party paraphernalia , including drugs and more than 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant” that were allegedly used to outfit the living rooms for secret affairs, according to Damian Williams.
Diddy was denied bail on September 17 after pleading not guilty. Diddy’s next hearing is set for 2 p.m. on October 9.
