The Daily Mail reported that Janice – who has recently criticised the allegations against her son – was booed as she got out of her car, with the crowd outside urging twins Jessie and D’Lila – Diddy’s stepchildren with the late model Kim Porter – to “band together” to defend the contents of their mother’s shocking memoir.
Accordingly, Judge Arun Subramanian set the trial date as May 5, 2025.
Earlier this week, Diddy’s lawyers filed a third appeal for their client’s release on bail. The appeal challenges the decision by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York to deny the rap mogul bail twice on charges of obstruction of justice and witness tampering.
“Combs’ team is asking for his immediate release with appropriate bail conditions, citing insufficient evidence to warrant detention and legal errors in the court’s decision,” the source said.
Still, Diddy remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York. Prosecutors fear that if he is released, he will intimidate witnesses and interfere with the case. They also say the rapper is a flight risk because he is wealthy and has access to private jets.
