P Diddy and Jennifer Lopez ended up in handcuffs together during their time as a couple, years before Diddy ended up arrested once more for alleged sex trafficking among other allegations.
Back in 1999, Diddy got arrested after a shooting incident in New York City that happened eight years before. Forbes reported on how the argument kicked off, leading to shots fired and three people getting hurt.
The pair ran from the scene, which led the police on a chase. Word got out about a stolen gun found in their car, resulting in both Jennifer Lopez and Combs being arrested – but police dropped the charges against Lopez soon after.

On top of that, P Diddy faced extra charges for allegedly trying to bribe the driver with a massive 50 grand to take the fall for the gun. In the end, he got off scot-free, and no one was convicted of the shooting, reports the Mirror US.
The “Jenny From The Block” songstress has barely spoken about the arrest since, though she did mention it once in a 2000 interview with British ELLE. Clearly gobsmacked by what happened, she admitted the whole thing “was a complete nightmare.”
“I had absolutely no idea what was going on. No-one did.”
Lopez and Combs went through an on-and-off romance between 1999 and 2001. In a 2014 chat with Access Hollywood, JLo acknowledged the hip-hop mogul for the life insights he offered, remarking that he “gave her so many cues and taught her so many things.”
During that interview, she revealed her continued “so much mutual respect and admiration” for the hit-maker behind ‘I’ll Be Missing You’. Nevertheless, just two years after they called it quits, Jennifer was deeply affected by their breakup.
In a candid moment with Vibe magazine, Lopez confided: “It was the first time I was with someone who wasn’t faithful. I was in this relationship with Puff where I was totally crying, crazy and going nuts. It really took my whole life in a tailspin.”
J. Lo opened up further to Vibe Magazine about why having children wasnt in the cards during her time with Combs, stating: “I had to think, do I want to be home with kids in 10 years wondering where somebody is at three in the morning? “.
