New details have emerged surrounding Liam Payne’s funeral service including word that it is going to be a ‘very big send off’ that will be held at a ‘large cathedral’ with a star-studded guest list
As the world continues to grieve Liam Payne’s untimely death, his family is now finalizing the details of his funeral which will feature a lavish remembrance service.
The former One Direction member met his untimely end on October 16 after falling from the balcony of his third-floor room at the CasaSur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The initial findings of an autopsy, conducted by the Forensic Medical Corps at the Judicial Morgue on Viamonte Street, indicated that Liam’s death was due to “multiple traumas” resulting in “internal and external bleeding.” Following the heartbreaking incident, Liam’s father Geoff traveled to Argentina and had to wait for authorities to release his son’s body for repatriation to the UK.
Now Liam’s loved ones are preparing to say their final goodbyes as they work out the details of his upcoming funeral service. An insider, who claims to be a close friend of the late musician, told MailOnline: “Liam’s body is expected to be flown home any day now. Arrangements are in place for that now and once his body is back in Britain the next step will be to announce the funeral plan.”
The insider went on to reveal: “Liam will have a very big send off, quite probably at a large cathedral somewhere close to his heart. Liam was so loved by so many people, there will obviously be enormous demand and so the service will necessarily be a huge affair. The details are still under wraps until they are definitively signed off but should be announced very soon.”
Liam’s official formal funeral comes as hundreds of fans have made their own beautiful makeshift vigils of the star in recent weeks featuring printed photos, handwritten notes, candles, flowers, singing, and more. And while little has been revealed about Liam’s actual funeral service, the ceremony is expected to be filled with A-list celebrities as Liam was well known and loved in the entertainment industry.
Discussing Liam’s burial plans, a source told Radar Online: “Liam’s funeral is going to be packed with A-listers as he was so well-loved in the showbiz community, and so many of them are so sad about his tragic death. His family want to keep his farewell low-key and respectful, as it’s what Liam would have wanted as he was so down to earth,” and added: “But there are going to be a series of song tributes from some very big acts as he loved singing and making music until the end.”
