Singer Cassie is quietly working to restore her music career and regain her reputation after speaking out and becoming the first person to expose the crimes of her ex-boyfriend – rapper Diddy .
In November 2023, Cassie filed a lawsuit against her ex-boyfriend Diddy for rape and sexual abuse over a period of more than 10 years. In her statement, Cassie said she decided to stand up to her powerful boyfriend so that women who are being abused can have the courage to fight.
In May 2024, video footage from a hotel hallway camera from 2016 was released with undeniable evidence of Diddy brutally beating and assaulting Cassie when the two were still lovers.

She is now focusing on her musical comeback, having just registered a new song and considering whether to release unreleased material. A source told DailyMail : “Cassie is considering a return to music after Diddy went to jail and some of his former executives resigned.”

“Cassie never imagined her career would be put on hold after her first album. She has many more unreleased albums that she would like to release if the timing is right and her business is doing well. Her collaborators have been informed of this and the royalties have been agreed,” DailyMail said .
The news came after Cassie edited a song titled Into It in May this year, which she had registered with Universal Music in 2010. She recently submitted a new song – Midnight Hour – to the record label in August this year.
